The EDEA Wave is where every skating journey begins — a true entry-level boot designed for absolute beginners stepping onto the ice for the first time. With a stiffness rating of 40, the softest in the EDEA lineup, the Wave provides just enough support to help new skaters find their balance and develop proper foot positioning without the rigidity that can intimidate or fatigue a first-timer.

Built for First Steps

The Wave's shell uses a special combination of resins and polymers tuned to a stiffness of 40 — specifically calibrated for skaters learning to glide, stop, and turn for the very first time. This softer flex lets beginners develop natural ankle movement and edge feel without fighting their equipment. The 3D-textured Technomicro outer adds both style and structural support while remaining lightweight and water-resistant.

Comfort from Day One

Memory foam padding conforms to the foot for immediate comfort — critical for beginners who may not yet have access to professional boot fitting. The breathable, water-resistant inner lining features a honeycomb weave design that manages moisture and keeps feet dry through longer sessions. Most skaters experience a minimal break-in period compared to higher-stiffness models.

Responsive Foundation

EDEA's innovative honeycomb footbed provides responsive cushioning underfoot and reduces response times for developing skaters. A thinner sole design lowers the center of gravity for improved stability and better ice feel. The extended arch, inspired by Roman architectural principles, distributes force evenly for more natural control during basic skating movements.

Secure Lacing

Four galvanized carbon steel hooks provide a secure, adjustable fit. The hooks are positioned lower and longer than traditional designs, giving new skaters better control over ankle support — an important detail when you are still learning how a properly laced skate should feel.

Handcrafted in Italy

Even at the entry level, EDEA does not cut corners. Every pair of Wave boots is entirely handmade near Venice, Italy, with the care and skill of over 70 craftspeople contributing to each pair. The same Italian design heritage that produces boots for world champions is present in every stitch.
