Virtual Fitting
Not everyone can visit us in Kentucky — but every skater deserves expert fitting guidance. Our virtual fitting service connects you with an experienced boot fitter over video call, so we can walk you through measuring your feet, discuss your skating needs, and recommend the right boot model, size, and width — all from the comfort of your home. It's the same expertise we bring to in-person consultations, adapted for distance.
Why a Virtual Fitting Matters
Buying figure skating boots online without professional guidance is risky. Size charts give you a starting point, but they can't account for foot shape, arch height, width variations, or the specific demands of your skating discipline. A boot that's technically the right length might be the wrong width, the wrong stiffness, or the wrong model for your level. Our virtual fitting eliminates the guesswork by putting a real expert in front of you — someone who can see your feet, ask the right questions, and guide you to a confident decision.
This is what sets us apart from ordering off a size chart and hoping for the best. We take the time to understand your feet and your skating, and we make a specific recommendation based on both.
How It Works
Step 1: Contact us to schedule your session.
Reach out through our contact page to request a virtual fitting. We'll find a time that works for your schedule.
Step 2: We send you preparation instructions.
Before the call, we'll email you a short list of what to have ready so we can make the most of our time together.
Step 3: Join the video call.
At your scheduled time, join the video call from your smartphone or computer. We use standard video platforms — no special software to install.
Step 4: Measure your feet together.
We guide you step by step through measuring your feet for length, width, and arch characteristics. We'll watch on camera to make sure your measurements are accurate.
Step 5: Discuss your skating level and goals.
We ask about your current skating level, the jumps and skills you're working on, how often you skate, and your discipline (freestyle, dance, moves in the field). This helps us determine the right stiffness level and boot model.
Step 6: We recommend the right boot.
Based on your measurements and skating profile, we recommend a specific boot model, size, and width. We explain why that boot is right for you and answer any questions.
Step 7: Place your order with confidence.
Once you're comfortable with the recommendation, you can place your order through our boot collection knowing the fit has been verified by an expert.
What You'll Need
- Smartphone or computer with a camera. We need to see your feet during the measuring process, so a device with a working camera is essential.
- Measuring tape or ruler. A flexible fabric measuring tape is ideal. A rigid ruler works for length but is harder for width.
- A piece of paper and a pen. We'll have you trace your foot outline for one of the measurements.
- Thin socks. Wear the type of thin skating socks you'd wear on the ice — not thick athletic socks.
Free Service, No Obligation
Our virtual fitting is completely free. There is no obligation to purchase from us after the session. We believe that helping skaters find the right fit — whether they buy from us or not — builds the kind of trust that brings people back. That said, most skaters who go through our virtual fitting do order with us, because they've experienced firsthand the level of care and expertise we bring to every fitting.
Available Nationwide
We serve skaters across the contiguous United States. No matter where you're located, if you have an internet connection and a camera, we can help you find the right boot. For more information about our fitting process, visit our boot consultation and boot measuring pages.
