The EDEA Overture is the perfect entry into the EDEA boot family — designed for beginner skaters learning single jumps through the Axel. With a supportive stiffness rating of 55, it provides the structure needed to develop proper technique while remaining forgiving enough for skaters still building their strength and confidence on the ice.
The Right Start
Starting in the right boot matters. The Overture gives beginning freestyle skaters access to the same Italian engineering and thermoformable technology used by elite competitors, at an entry-level price point. The 55 stiffness rating is specifically calibrated for the forces generated by single jumps and Axels — stiff enough to support clean landings, flexible enough to allow natural ankle movement as you learn.
Comfort-First Design
Soft padding protects the Achilles tendon during skating, a common pressure point for newer skaters still breaking in their boots. The SH microfiber lining manages moisture to keep your feet comfortable, and the waterproof leather exterior (made to European EN ISO 20345 standards) handles the inevitable contact with ice and snow without breaking down.
Thermoformable Custom Fit
Like every EDEA boot from Overture up, the tri-layer thermoformable construction with high-density memory foam can be professionally heat-molded to shape precisely to your foot. This reduces break-in to just 4 to 8 hours — a huge advantage for beginner skaters who don't want to spend weeks in pain before their boots feel right. Available in four widths so you can find the perfect fit from day one.
Lightweight Performance
EDEA boots are 25% to 45% lighter than comparable figure skating boots. For beginners, lighter boots mean less fatigue during lessons and practice sessions, letting you focus on developing skills instead of fighting heavy equipment. The molded nylon fiberglass honeycomb footbed provides vertical compression for comfortable landings while the thinner sole lowers your center of gravity for better balance.
Handcrafted in Italy
Every pair is made by hand at EDEA's factory in Crocetta del Montello, Italy — crafted by 144 skilled artisans who each contribute their specialized expertise. Even at the entry level, EDEA doesn't compromise on craftsmanship.
