What Makes the Ice Fly Special

The Ice Fly's shell is made from Technomicro, EDEA's proprietary composite microfiber with threads thinner than silk. This advanced material is stronger, lighter, and more water-resistant than traditional leather, and it makes the Ice Fly completely vegan-friendly. Combined with H.A.R. (High Abrasion Resistant) mesh reinforcement, the shell delivers exceptional structural integrity at a fraction of the weight of conventional boots — 25% to 45% lighter than comparable figure skating boots.

Thermoformable Custom Fit

Every Ice Fly features EDEA's tri-layer thermoformable construction lined with high-density memory foam. When professionally heat-molded by an authorized technician, the boot shapes precisely to your foot, eliminating pressure points and reducing break-in time to just 4 to 8 hours of training. The Air-Tech mesh lining creates inner chambers for natural insulation and air cooling, keeping your feet comfortable through long sessions.

Performance Engineering

The Ice Fly's unique Dual Sole technology reduces ice chatter for a smoother, quieter glide. A molded nylon fiberglass honeycomb footbed at the ball of the foot provides vertical compression for jump landings while maximizing power transfer on every takeoff. The thinner sole design lowers your center of gravity for improved balance and edge sensitivity.

Handcrafted in Italy

Every pair is made by hand at EDEA's factory in Crocetta del Montello, Italy — crafted by 144 skilled artisans who each contribute their specialized expertise. Forged steel hooks are sewn (not riveted) into the boot, and every detail reflects decades of Italian shoemaking heritage.
